Product Manager (m/f/d) E-Mobility

Job Overview

TE offers various battery system components for e-mobility. You will focus on the High-Voltage Contactors. They play a key role in the battery disconnect unit architecture of electric vehicles. They isolate the HV battery and electrical components especially in case of emergency.

The HV Contactors market is characterized by challenging technical requirements and its expected yearly growth is >30% by 2027.

The major focus of a product manager in this area is to support the development and implementation of a portfolio and pricing strategy, ensure growth, increase TE’s market share as well as work in a multi-functional team to improve profitability.

The Product Manager is responsible to shape, execute & grow the HV Contactors portfolio, with a key focus on optimizing the product’s market position and financial returns, consistent with the Automotive EMEA business unit strategies. The candidate will support the effort of developing HV Contactors business plans, portfolio strategy and product marketing, and overseeing its execution to maximize the value generation throughout the responsible product life cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Your responsibilities will include identifying market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends and the competitive landscape to tell the business "how to win".
  • Your responsibilities will include supporting product portfolio management and the development of new products and processes that align with the business strategy and improve the competitiveness of TE's high voltage contactors
  • You will be responsible for cross-functional collaboration in setting sales, technology and operational strategies in line with financial targets
  • You will champion new product requirements and collaborate with R&D and operations on new product development to meet current and future customer needs.
  • You will be responsible for introducing our products to customers both on-site and in online and print media, maintain customer business intimacy
  • You will be responsible for advising on capacity planning through demand forecasting and working closely with the supply chain
  • Your responsibilities will include supporting the sales department with pricing strategies

What your background should look like:

  • Industrial Engineering Degree or related field
  • 2+ years of professional experience in the field of product management and / or B2B marketing is required, preferably in the Automotive industry
  • Very good technical and commercial understanding
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive and out-of-the-box mindset and strong analytical skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package, SAP experience is a plus
  • Willingness to travel within the EMEA region is required (up to 25%)
