Product Manager (f/m/d) - Power Distribution Unit

Job Overview

The Product Manager (f/m/d) manages all aspects of a regional product line or portfolio, from driving New Product development to manufacturing to marketing and sales. He/she runs the portfolio as a  “mini” GM. The Product Manager (f/m/d) is responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and gross (or standard) margin targets.


Main areas of responsibility:

  1. Market sensing and strategy development: articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape; conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking; conduct market segmentation exercises to develop market segment-specific strategies.
  2. Develop business plan: define resource requirements necessary to execute the product roadmap; work cross functionally to define sales, technology and operations strategies and goals, in line with financial goals.
  3. Execution – new product development and launch: be the opportunity champion for EMEA projects; plan product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plans. 
  4. Execution – post launch product management: manage the P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for the assigned portfolio; deliver sustained profitable growth; track progress to the business plan and facilitate resolution to gaps.
What your background should look like:

•    Engineering or business degree required with additional MBA preferred
•    5+ years of product management or sales experience
•    Relevant experience in power distribution product within truck/bus/construction transportation industry
•    Fluent German and English language skills
•    Experience and leadership to influence cross functional international teams
•    Capability to build effective teams
•    Excellent presentation skills
•    Ability to simplify and effectively communicate complex concepts
•    Facility to understand, analyze and articulate market needs and opportunities
•    Passion, energy and perseverance
