PROJECT MANAGER Automotive (f/m/d)

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Project Management Teams are responsible for managing the operational aspects of projects from inception through implementation. They coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project teams and line management. Our Teams review status of projects and budgets, organize schedules and prepare status reports. They assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. They also develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • The Project Manager (f/m/d) has the full responsibility for all his projects regarding major milestones, deliverables on time and Project health.
  • Takes ownership and leadership of all tasks within project scope through concept-, design-, validation-, and industrialization phase in line with LEANPD process. 
  • Technical interface with core teams, with problem solving and action lead approach
  • Define, manage and execute fiscal plans in accordance with PMO operating rules 
  • Set up project plan within TE Project to include: Key deliverables, milestones and timeline in accordance with customer requirements and programme timing 
  • Monitor project execution with specific emphasis on providing early warnings for time to internal & external market non-conformities
  • Initiate and coordinate weekly project review meetings in the role of a core team leader with cross functional teams.
  • Follow up on project status and monitor progress in line with project timeline requirements
  • Set up and manage Change Control, Risk & Risk Mitigation plans
  • Monitor production part approval process and coordinate market introduction 
  • Support Business Team on customer related topics like preparation of presentations, sample ti-ming and technical documents where required

What your background should look like:

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in engineering or business administration. Preferably a joint degree of engineering and business administration.
  • 2 years+ of experience working in a Commercial / Technical environment, preferably in a Project Management / Lead environment
  • Competent in Engineering practices for development of terminals and connectors
  • Competent in LeanPD and TEOA basic understanding
  • Competent presentation soft skills
  • MS Office and MS Project knowledge. Basic SAP knowledge 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English, German would be a plus
  • Strong knowledge of stamping, moulding and assembly processes
  • Time Management and high flexibility
  • Technically oriented and competent
  • Team oriented working style with proven track record in organization and planning skills 
  • High motivation and assertiveness
  • Positive and energetic approach with a “can-do” ‘Mini GM’attitude
