NPI Buyer (f/m/d)

Job Overview
  • Anticipate and drive solutions for NPI supply requirements using technical expertise, internal coordination, and clear external communications
  • Collaborate with the ICT Integrated Supply Chain team to support achieving Key Performance Indicators
  • Gathers quotations, examines bids, and makes awards.  Performs cost analysis and volume planning for commodities. 
  • Engage with NPI teams to ensure suppliers are in place to support business requirements
  • Conduct tooling capacity analysis on new products to ensure the supplier’s production proposition can meet demand requirements
  • Lead all supply base activities for key projects and ensure actions from support functions are completed on time
  • Monitors cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. Recommends cost saving proposals including make vs. buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria. 
  • Assure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
  • Consolidate the numerous suppliers to allow for better pricing leverage, Lead Time reductions etc. including proactive engagement with supplier quality, engineering and product and commodity management teams.
  • Provide timely and complete responses to various corporate, segment, business unit and functional support requirements
  • Foster an environment of open collaboration with all functions of ICT as may be required to advance operational and integrated supply chain performance improvements. Actively and openly provide feedback (including constructive push-back) on Operations functional direction and action plans
What your background should look like:
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain.  Masters is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant sourcing/procurement experience
  • Demonstrate track record that demonstrates ability to achieve desired results
  • Strong people & organizational leadership skills: Person of true convictions; willing to stand up for those convictions; Able to communicate, reinforce and coach/counsel others on those convictions; unafraid of change / improvement
  • Business acumen, strong communication and negotiation skills, Leadership, creative, presentation skills, patient, influencing skills, Results driven, action oriented, comfortable with ambiguity,
  • Travel up to 10% of time.
  • Fluent in English and German
  • SAP experience a plus
