TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.

MGR Business Innovation (f/m/d)

Reporting to the VP Product Management, in the TE Automotive Business Unit, the Mgr. Business Innova-tion will be responsible for creating new and scalable business models to optimize new product launches and service offerings, ensure portfolio growth and lead the development and execution of holistic product group strategies across the core portfolio. The role will be responsible for making changes both to TEs value proposition to customers as well as to its underlying operating model.

 

He/She drives these changes by

  • Addressing the choice of target segment, service offering and revenue model at the value proposition level
  • Focusing on how to drive profitability, competitive advantage and value creation on the operating model level

 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify innovative commercial growth opportunities adjacent and complementary to TE core portfolio by applying a structured framework to scan and prioritize potential opportunities
  • Drive and develop TE service portfolio and development of specific service roadmaps to increase mar-ket shar
  • Evaluate and implement which cost models are needed to ensure needed profitability
  • Assess and design which organizational structures and capabilities are essential to success
  • Derive and build-up a capability framework to develop, rapidly test and scale new business models
  • Work closely with functional management teams and be a strategic partner to them on all aspects of business model strategies
  • Play the role of senior project/program manager on strategic or cross-regional projects, and bring timely and useful insight, perspective and analytical support
  • Identify industry trends, customer requirements, support innovation and drive long-term growth
  • Keep close contact with strategic customers to understand and influence business trends and require-ments to form product/service roadmap and drive competitive advantage.In partnership with sales & marketing develop and implement the specific “Go to market strategy”.
  • Develop digital business models and increase market share via digital platforms.

 

 

Profile:

  • University degree in (industrial) engineering or business management
  • 7 years’ + experience in an industry setting, ideally combining several experiences in Product Manage-ment, Sales and engineering or Strategy Consulting, at least 3 years as a Team or Function Leader
  • Proven commercial and leadership track record to drive global growth, including sales, marketing with significant customer exposure at senior level in a fast paced and changing environment with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent business and financial acumen
  • Proven portfolio management skills (holistic thinking & analytics)
  • Clear, strategic thinker with vision and the ability to execute on priorities.
  • Demonstrated commercial / entrepreneurial / strategic / innovative mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple functions.
