Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Digital Data Network Business Unit is looking for an experienced Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support our customers in the wireless and data communications market.

In this hybrid role, you will act as a technical interface for both direct customers and distribution partners, supporting key regions such as Germany and Sweden, along with additional European markets. The position involves approximately 30% travel.

You will play a key role in bridging customer needs with TE’s engineering and product teams, contributing directly to new business wins and technology development.

Job Requirements

 

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers and distribution partners
  • Identify and drive new business opportunities and pipeline growth
  • Translate customer requirements into technical solutions and product concepts
  • Support and influence new product development (NPD/NPI) processes
  • Provide application support, product recommendations, and design-in guidance
  • Conduct Voice of the Customer (VOC) sessions to capture market needs
  • Collaborate closely with sales, product management, and engineering to secure wins
  • Support technical issue resolution in partnership with internal teams
  • Monitor industry trends and standards to help shape future solutions

What your background should look like

 

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
  • 3–6 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role
  • Experience in connectivity, electronics, or manufacturing technologies is an advantage
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in German and English
  • Proactive, structured thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proven ability to work independently and within global, cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to travel (~30%) across the region
