FINANCE MANAGER Compliance and Controls

JOB OVERVIEW:

TE Connectivity's Finance Teams are responsible for economic research, analysis of profit-and-loss income statements, and preparation of reports on findings to make recommendations to management. They generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, finance, and other areas of business. The Finance Teams also create financial models of "what if" scenarios to help future business planning decisions.

The Candidate will join a highly motivated and dynamic Finance/Controlling department and be an integral part of the local Center of Excellence Finance Team. 

The Position is open for the whole Germany.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Focus on Legal Entity Compliance, internal and external for multiple German entities. Drive relationships with various internal parties such as Business Units, TEIA, and our global Financial Policies and Controls Team;
  • Actively support the integration of acquisitions;
  • Provide direct support to the BU Finance and local Controlling teams as well as the Financial Solution Center to secure stable and compliant Finance processes, maintain a strong internal control system and drive for continuous process improvement within the Finance area;
  • Support System migration (ie. SAP S4/HANA, etc.) and ensure compliance aspects are respected;
  • Collaborate with colleagues around statutory and international accounting principles;
  • Deal with ad-hoc requests from Management or Business Partner;

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Degree in Business or Economics
  • Fluent in German and English both oral and written 
  • 4+ years of Finance/Audit experience. Experience with German legal entities or German group entities is a must
  • Previous experience with statutory and international accounting under US GAAP, IFRS, or other similar accounting and reporting framework
  • Proactive and strong ownership with a business-focused approach 
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both oral and written, across various levels of the organization in a clear and concise manner
