Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Field Application Engineering Teams work intimately with customers to recommend products and solutions for new and existing applications. They identify new applications, requirement modifications and enhancements to meet customer specifications and conduct on-site installation and service of product and are responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle for potential application of company products to meet customer needs, including identifying opportunities; determining solutions; creating demand; preparing detailed product specifications and technical marketing support; ensuring high quality and timely project execution and conducting follow-up technical support. They also approve operational quality of systems and equipment.


•    Responsible for performing preventive maintenance and calibration on TE Application Tooling equipment. 
•    Follow up with customers regarding existing maintenance contracts and maintenance plans. Promote of new maintenance contracts 
•    Performs troubleshooting and repairs related to TE Application Tooling equipment. 
•    Installation of new machines, software systems and upgrades 
•    Performs customer trainings 
•    Provides assessment and evaluation of warranty issues at customer equipment. Active participation on corrective actions. 
•    Suggestions on equipment and Field Service process improvements 
•    Documents and submits complete and accurate reports related to service activities and travelling in a timely manner 
•    Drives and maintains customer satisfaction. 
•    Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and code of ethics 
•    National and International travelling 

Required Skills

•   Professional education in electronics or mechatronics. Preferred: Technical apprenticeship and experience in field service
•    Mechanical, electrical and electronic skills. Basic knowledge in pneumatic and hydraulic
•    Structured analyzing and troubleshooting of complex technical issues 
•    Customer oriented – drives customer satisfaction 
•    Good Communication / negotiation skills 
•    PC and MS Office knowledge 
•    Relevant experience in technical Service organizations
•    Driving license 
•    English language: Fluent in speaking and writing
•    Being able to participate in a 24/7 hotline in a rotation basis
•    Willingness to travel frequently domestic and to the EMEA region
