Job Description: 

Your main tasks:

Implementation of demanding occupational safety and environmental protection tasks

  • Safety-related inspections of work procedures and workplaces, systems, machines, and equipment in accordance with legal requirements and TE-internal EHS guidelines
  • Advising employees on the design of workplaces, work processes, the work environment, and other ergonomic matters
  • Supporting the execution of risk assessments, documenting results, coordinating measures with internal and external stakeholders, and monitoring their implementation
  • Initiating adjustments and continuous improvements of existing safety equipment (e.g., due to changed regulations), proposing measures, coordinating with internal/external specialist departments, and tracking implementation
  • Ensuring that specialist departments are informed about applicable regulations and processes; creating and maintaining documentation on existing and updated procedures
  • Supporting root cause analysis of workplace accidents and near-miss incidents, recording and evaluating investigation results, and coordinating measures for reduction together with the specialist departments
  • Selecting and testing personal protective equipment
  • Conducting and documenting workplace and site inspections at regular intervals
  • Supporting the creation and delivery of EHS training

 

Developing new occupational safety and environmental protection systems

  • Developing and implementing concepts for hazard protection at new types of workplaces, systems, machines, and equipment
  • Coordinating measures with internal and external specialist departments
  • Documenting individual sub-processes as well as ensuring the training/instruction of specialist departments and monitoring compliance with applicable regulations

 

Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)

  • Development, maintenance, and training of site-specific LOTO programs
  • Ensuring proper application of LOTO procedures during maintenance and repair activities
  • Technical evaluation and approval of LOTO systems in collaboration with the specialist departments responsible

 

Support in Management Systems ISO 14001/45001/50001

  • Supporting the improvement and maintenance of management systems in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001/45001/50001
  • Conducting internal audits

Your ideal profile:

  • Completed technical degree (e.g., Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering)
  • Several years of professional experience in a technical EHS environment
  • Additional qualification as a certified Occupational Safety Specialist required
  • Solid knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, Machinery Directive, BetrSichV, ArbSchG)
  • Experience in LOTO, CE marking, and machine risk assessment
  • Analytical and solution-oriented mindset combined with a strong hands-on mentality
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team, and capability to clearly convey technical information
  • Good German and English skills, both written and spoken
