Job Overview
The Account Manager (m/f/d) is responsible for managing and overseeing all sales activities for their assigned account. The primary objective is to maximize business opportunities and ensure that TE is well-positioned to grow and achieve sustainable, profitable sales.
This position is remotely based in Germany and will work with customers in southern Germany, as well as Central & Eastern Europe.
Job Requirements
- Serve as the Account Manager, accountable for driving regional profitable sales growth, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Review customer contracts and coordinate with Legal and other relevant departments to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Provide accurate and timely data to support the internal Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment between sales forecasts, production plans, and customer demand
- Act as the primary point of contact for continuous Product Change Notification (PCN) coordination and clarification, ensuring smooth communication and implementation
- Deliver regional annual growth plans and define account-specific strategies to achieve business objectives
- Identify, assess, and qualify new business opportunities; manage and introduce new product streams
- Develop and execute strategic plans to position company products according to customer-specific requirements
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships, fostering trust and partnership
- Communicate regional results (monthly billing review, monthly rolling F/cast and market project highlights) to Manager
- Identify application areas where TE does not have a dominating position and define account coverage and product requirements
- Prepare financial justifications and presentations; manage quotations, negotiations, and pricing for existing business with a strong focus on profitability and contractual compliance
- Ensure TE is recognized as the supplier of choice by consistently delivering value and maintaining high standards of service
What your background should look like
- Commercial and technical background, ideally a joint degree of engineering and business administration (industrial/ commercial engineer)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in various Business Administration and Sales assignments
- Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international matrix organisation
- Fluent in German and English both written and spoken
- Familiarity with SAP and Lean Product Development is helpful (Training available)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package, especially MS Excel
- Demonstrates cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Strong understanding of customer structures, market conditions, and competitor/supplier landscape
- Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
- Ability to build strong relationships quickly at all organizational levels
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid Car driver license required
- Flexibility to travel within Central and Eastern Europe
