Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Interface with direct customers and support teams to manage a regular forecasting process at both the detail and aggregated level. Establishes and maintains forecast performance measurement and evaluation. Demonstrate customer centric approach and adherence to customer expectations to promote a positive company image.

Co-ordinating with customers delivery schedules and create demand & supply planning by Interacting with purchase & production teams by ensuring Customer on time deliveries are met. Take necessary measures / corrective actions in case of deviations.

Prepare time plan for procurement based on schedules, identifying critical area, bottle necks & capacity constraints. Responsible for managing deliverables of the pre & post sales responses in terms of Dispatch / Shipment plans.

Ensures data integrity and quality by reviewing data, identifying unusual occurrences, seeking explanations and assisting in developing corrections to prevent reoccurrences. Complete status reports for production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory.

Set inventory norms & monitor inventory levels across different products. Ensure maintaining of safety stock, set order / reorder levels for all class of items. Study consumption trends & no stock outs at any time. Perform slow moving / fast moving, non-moving stock analysis and appraise mgmt.

Effective communication skills to present & discuss forecasting information with product and business managers and for senior management review.

Good numeracy skills to recognise and interpret both history and forecasts. Assists in developing strategies, policies, objectives in areas of S & OP (Sales & Operations Planning) MPS (Master Production Scheduling) such as Customer Service, Inventory and Lead times.

Demonstrate excellent people management skills to develop and motivate direct reporting staff and be a mentor to the team


BE/ B.Tech (Electronic, Mechanical or any)

Deep understanding and professional experience on Supply chain


14+ years’ experience in field of supply chain or demand management

Technical and manufacturing knowledge of commodities such as machining, Plating, molding, stamping etc.

Strong knowledge on SAP MM

Strong quantitative and analytical skills
