Job Overview

The India Engineering Services is providing a value-added service to global TE engineering team and its customers in terms of Product Compliance and Conflict Mineral’s activity.

Support TE affiliates and direct customers on product compliance and conflict mineral activities

Setting up of overall product compliance direction by communicating corporate objective for development / implementation of the global product compliance within the team.

Ensure the Business unit products comply with all TE Environmental regulations.

Drive adherence and implementation of TE PEC policies and legislative requirements within the India team.

Supervising supplier material declarations and compliance coding activities. Interface with internal requestors & external suppliers/customers to have resolution on topics related to material declarations

Job Requirements

    • Provide technical support to TE affiliates on product compliance and Conflict mineral requests and address / resolve customer queries.
    • Evaluation of material declarations provided by the supplier based on the usage assessment of the substances in TE products.
    • Knowledge on the latest legislations related to the environmental regulatory compliance of various countries having TE’s product footprint
    • Work with global purchase groups for non-responsive suppliers.
    • Participate in meetings / monthly /Bi-monthly Tele-conferences related to product compliance updates.
    • Interact directly with customers / TE affiliates for compliance or conflict Mineral or system related queries.
    • Knowledge of entering material declarations in different customer formats / Web portal.
    • Awareness of various systems / data repository, engineering processes.
    • Capability to lead a team of associates for daily operations
    • Initiate projects that have an impact on efficiency improvement and utilization at its best.
    • Identify areas of waste and work towards continuous improvement with a high focus on productivity & Quality.

What your background should look like

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 2 to 5 years’ relevant experience in a product compliance and conflict Mineral role, preferably at a unit or enterprise level.
  • Demonstrated experience in working as team and across regions / time zones. Curiosity to understand, and ability to address and solve problems.
  •  Ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization functions inside TE and outside, as example customers and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of Drawing Reading
  • Knowledge of European directives and regulations –EU RoHS/ EU ELV, REACH, PFAS, CA prop 65, Conflict minerals, EMRT, AMRT etc.
  • AI and Automation testing knowledge will be added advantage.
  • Knowledge of various raw material properties is substances and applications.
  • Good written / verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good presentation Skills
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Power BI (added advantage).
  • Different systems knowledge on Compliance Map and Windchill applications.
