Job Overview
Lead the lab in supporting various global TE locations for Connector validation. Regular interactions to understand validation requirements from internal and external customers (Product Engineers, OEM’s) as per international standards, TE Product specification and Customer specific standards, and effectively translating them into validation methods.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES
8 to 10 years of experience in the areas of Automotive LV/HV Connector and Data connectivity connector testing or other similar industry
• Manage lab schedule including capacity and resource allocation.
• Own lab performance metrics including Safety, On Time Delivery, and Quality
• Lead and develop a team of engineers and technicians to ensure effective and efficient lab operations
• Knowledge sharing and mentoring based on team’s operational requirements and strategies.
• Work cross-functionally with global engineering teams, program managers and support teams to ensure on-time execution with on-target quality and cost of programs.

• Communicate test project status, schedules, upcoming deliverables, and technical solutions to the project manager and project stakeholders.
• Ensure execution of qualification and validation tests as well as research & development on connector systems according to the current test specifications of the automotive and commercial transportation industries
• Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures including safety rules, 5S+1 and Quality management regarding IATF 16949, ISO 17025.
• Preparation of test setups, testing and recording and control of measurement and test data in his area of responsibility and competency.
• Carry out error analyzes by means of various analytical methods with support of specialists.
• Responsible for test data post processing and technical review of verification & validation to ensure robustness of design.
• Drive continuous improvement of lab processes, workflows, and test efficiency

DESIRED SKILLS
Experience in the areas of Automotive LV / HV and Data Connectivity connector testing.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical circuits, and climatic testing concepts(Thermal shock, Dry heat, Damp heat test, etc) and experience with its application in product validation.
• Hands-on experience with lab test equipment such as Hi-pot testers, Climatic Chambers, Oscilloscopes, Vector Network Analyzer etc.
• Experience managing diverse and strong technical teams
• Experience in implementation of ISO 17025 processes.
• Knowledge of product validation process in automotive and commercial transportation industries.
• Knowledge of various techniques and software used for test automation.(e.g. LabVIEW) is a plus
• Knowledge of international standards(IEC, ISO, DIN, EIA, SAE), and Customer standards(LV 214, USCAR2) related to product validation and quality management.
• Knowledge of statistical methods and tools(Minitab)
What your background should look like
Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional level experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level
