Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Responsibility:

•    Responsible for production, product Quality and safety which includes all stages in the line.
•    Request for resource requirement with proper justification.
•    Allocate and review task to the operators, 
•    Execute production quantity as per plan, 
•    Ensure monthly target quantity is met by putting all possible efforts, 
•    Utilize all available resources to achieve maximum productivity, 
•    Rigorous approach towards reducing the PPM level.
•    Strong customer focus and ensure customer demand is met on time. 
•    Solution oriented towards any problem, 
•    Active member of continual improvement team and participate in executing the CI projects, 
•    Ensure accident-free environment by complying with EHS requirements, 
•    Can independently handle a team of 30 directs.
•    Use technical knowledge on solving problems on the spot, 
•    Strong disciplinary control over team using good conflict & man management skills, 
•    Promote team working and create comfortable environment between directs.
•    Managing unionized staffs effectively and single handed
•    Periodic skills measurements & skill upgradation of reportees. 
•    Participate in manufacturing engineering processes like FMEA, control plan, KC monitoring, root cause analysis.
•    Participating in project transfers and ensure project related activities are completed on time.
•    Ensure maximum directs are cross trained on key processes.
•    Participate on productivity improvement projects and ensure cost savings target is achieved

 EDUCATION /KNOWLEDGE
•    BE/ B.Tech (Mechanical, Industrial Engg or Electrical & Electronics)
•    Deep understanding and professional experience of people management.
•    Excellent communication and convincing skills
•    Expert in material and production planning.
•    Kannada, English and Hindi preferably
•    Six Sigma Green/Black belt preferred.


CRITICAL EXPERIENCE

•    7+ years’ experience in dealing with manufacturing set up (Connector Assembly manufacturing Process, Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial and Electronic precision industries preferred)
•    Technical and manufacturing knowledge of commodities such as Machining, Plating, Molding, Stamping, Assembly, tool rom and maintenance etc.
•    Strong knowledge on SAP MM and PP.
•    Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
•    Quality Management System knowledge
