SR PRODUCT ENGINEER ECAD

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products from information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operation Teams, Development Engineers or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, and cost, while meeting customer requirements and may support and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer requirements. They are the key experts in the products they are responsible for at TE.

RESPONSBILITIES

•    PCB Design, Schematic, Layout for various sensor products, Smart Electronics project as per TE guideline and International Standards.
•    Create components for Altium Nexus Library.
•    Participate in HW/Layout review 
•    Create and export manufacturing file. 
•    Project deliverables knowledge such as DFMEA, drawings Release, etc. 
•    Creation of Gerber file, Electronic BOM, etc.
•    Support on VAVE/cost down concept design.
•    Knowledge on Product validation plan and tracking
•    Component selection

DESIRED SKILLS

 

• Degree or equivalent in an Engineering/Electronics discipline
• Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in schematic and PCB design, preferably in Altium Designer
• Experience in circuit simulation with LTspice or similar simulation programs
• Experience with manufacturing development processes in the automotive environment of PCB/PCBA
• Experience in quality standards, thermal management, clearance/creepage, panel design in printed circuit board development for the automotive industry
• Knowledge of Press fit technology 
• Knowledge on functional safety design acc. ISO26262
• Good Knowledge in verification of the electronic/electrical design, include definition of test criterion, test method, test set-up, etc
• Exposure to structured new product development process and stage gate frameworks to execute project activities from initial research & development throughout the entire project development lifecycle
• Proficiency in use of MS Office tools.
• Exceptional fluency in English
