Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Finance Teams are responsible for economic research, analysis of profit-and-loss income statements and preparation of reports on findings to make recommendations to management. They generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. The Finance Teams also create financial models of "what if" scenarios to help future business planning decisions.

Job Summary:

TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst based out of Bangalore, India. This position will report to the Manager FP&A Finance. A key focus of the role is to provide Reporting, Analytics and Data Management Support to the Management team. The position serves as a bridge between Finance Manager from commercial side and Data Structure and Reporting from a Quasi Technological side. This role will be driving enhanced visibility to the BU management into various Reporting and Analytical requirements and establish a linkage between financial performance and decision-making. The Senior Financial Analyst will have a significant impact on data presentation, assessing improvements areas in the field of Reporting and Analytics within the BU and assist the BU in achieving their short term and long-term performance goals.

This position will also manage a team of Financial Analysts based out of Bangalore, India. This team will support Sales, Product Management (PM), Engineering, Finance, Customer Support and Operations with periodic reporting and drive projects for improvement opportunities within the BU. The Senior Financial Analyst will interact with BU Leaders from each of the above functions and understand their reporting / analytics requirement and commit to a timely reporting schedule. 
 

Job Responsibilities:

•    Ownership of all Global Reporting for the BU to all the stakeholders viz. Sales, Product Management, Operations, Customer Care, Finance and HQ BU Management
•    Ownership of Daily, Monthly, Quarterly, Annual and Ad-hoc Management Reporting 
•    Understand and explain various parameters of business viz. Profit, Order Book, Spread, Value Drivers, Sales, Inventory Management etc.
•    Create procedures for Standard Reporting. Organize Training for Ad-hoc Reporting  
•    Perform ad-hoc billings/bookings and margin analysis to identify trends, gaps and business insights.
•    Possess strong commercial acumen to translate the data set into meaningful insights in the form of Standard / Ad-hoc Reporting 
•    Handle Reporting for Annual Recosting, Impact Analysis
•    Co-ordinate with Business Decision Support (BDS) for Industry Coding/ GPL Structuring, Designing of Template, seeking approval from Sales / PLP Leaders and Report out to Finance, as and when required
•    Ownership of Master Data Maintenance. Organize / Initiate changes for Product Codes, GPLs and Product Structure. Ensure master data structure to provide correct profitability.     
•    Assess New Reporting requirements based on changing Business Structure. Provide necessary insights based on best practices followed inside / outside TE. 
•    Lead and Manage the Indian Analytics team. Work very closely with Manager FP&A based out of Germany.
•    Act as Business Unit (BU) lead for TE Data Warehousing (TED) issues. Specking / Testing new migrating system and make sure they meet business requirements. Help develop data lakes relevant for BU.
•    Calculation, monitoring SIP / PMIP and manage SFDC / Retool (?) interface.
•    Help New Sales and Sub Vertical’s management to understand BU, Profitability and Reporting Requirements
•    Co-ordinate / Collaborate / Interacts frequently with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Finance and Operations Leaders.     
•    Proactively apply TEOA-F principles to continuously improve financial and related reporting processes
 

Competencies:

•    Bachelor of Engineering / Technology (BE / B Tech) with MBA in Business / Finance from a reputed Business School
•    8-12 years of relevant experience in a Techno Financial Role with an MNC organization  
•    Good understanding of Data Structure, Business Analytics and Reporting Requirements in a complicated Multi BU environment   
•    Critical thinker and strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Highly skilled with Excel, Access & PowerPoint. Knowledge of Hyperion, Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI, SQL is desirable. Knowledge of advanced data analytics tool experience (such as Python, R, Hadoop etc.) would be a plus.
