Job Overview

Designs a complete and complex Simulation framework, system, or product. Define simulationprocesses for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. Conceives system interfaces and business application prototypes. Identifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses. Influences the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple products or systems.

Responsibilities

  • To perform FEA tasks and provide suitable design recommendations to validate the design virtually.
  • Validate concept designs using simulation techniques and determine design robustness, critical to function requirements.
  • Position will perform analysis of electrical connector systems in response to requests from the Engineering and Sales functions.
  • Deploy FEA Techniques – implicit and explicit approach, using Software tools like Ansys majorly on Nonlinear static, dynamics, thermal and electrothermal analysis. 
  • Translate the actual problem to a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) model, interpret the analysis results and select the best solution 
  • Monitor and evaluate simulation software capabilities and industry trends.
  • Deploy a standardised process and work methodology
  • Train and develop the capability of the team to be a multi-skilled resource pool. 
  • Benchmark and implement productivity improvement methods.
  • Track monitor metrics for sustained performance covering quality & delivery.
  • Collaborate with design & validation teams to enhance the design optimisation.

What your background should look like:

  • BE/ B.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical)
  • M Tech (Mechanical/Electrical) (preferred)
  • Knowledge of product, design processes and methodolo
  • Expertise on CAE tools, Optimization techniques, and testing methods
  • Understanding of LEAN / 6 Sigma / Kaizen techniques.
  • Proficiency in state-of-the-art
  • FEA- Ansys Mechanical, MAPDL, LS-DYNA, MATLAB
  • Programming language - Python, Microsoft VB-script, Power BI- An added advantage
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools.
  • Experience on connector products (Plastics and Sheet Metal parts) is an added advantage.

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE

  • 5-7 years of industry experience.
  • Knowledge on Non-Linear structural, dynamics, thermal & electrothermal analysis.
  • Knowledge on material science (Metals, Plastics & hyper elastic material) and implement for simulation.
  • Correlation of Test and simulation data / results.
