R&D/PRODUCT DVL ENGINEER II
Job Overview
Responsibilities
- Deliver new product development and sustenance project activities, including concept generation, validation, and creation of detailed designs and test plans.
- Design plastic and sheet metal components in Creo, applying DFM/DFA principles.
- Perform tolerance stack analysis, DFMEA, conduct design reviews, and basic FEA simulation.
- Review dimension/test reports and provide engineering approvals for tools/products.
- Manage engineering changes in Windchill and create necessary product specifications.
- Identify VAVE opportunities and collaborate with stakeholders for implementation.
- Interact with global stakeholders and customers to communicate technical details efficiently.
What your background should look like:
- B.E/B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 4–7 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end product development of plastic and sheet metal components.
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes (molding, stamping, plating, and assembly).
- Understanding of various engineering deliverables during the product development process.
- Proficient in modeling, drafting, and engineering change procedures.
- Working knowledge of Creo and Windchill; ability to run structural FEA simulations.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate globally at all levels.
