Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Software Systems Engineering Teams provide functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software operating/automation systems, including, but not limited to, utility, development, and diagnostic software. They perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost, risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Leading India Sensor calibration and testing technology team: Mainly working on Requirement Analyses, System and Software Design, Software development and Testing.

• 100% workload on projects to develop tools (mechanical, electrical, embedded systems, and software) for global distribution: Coordination, support, development, standardization and knowledge transfer.
• Setup and release of the SCT tools, processes and machines using: MSA, Capability study, ANOVA and another 6 Sigma Tools.
• Continuous training of employees and drive the exchange of experience.
• Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to team members creating a team mindset and culture that is aligned with TE core values.
• Work in an interdisciplinary international, worldwide team with project management, field application, product and process engineering, quality assurance, functional safety and manufacturing.
• Drive a DFSS culture, one of innovation, constant learning, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct or own Software- and P-FMEA, DOE, risk-assessments, process and hazard analyzes, analysis of complaints and verification of corrective actions. Interface with the customer/global team to discuss technical requirements, design progress and verification/validation results – Lead the technical communication with regards to calibration & Testing of sensor applications
• Develop a strong technical customer intimacy to translate customer application needs into technical product specification.
• Own project execution through participation in design review meetings and core team meetings
• Lead the vision and development of the calibration and testing of the sensor products by working closely with the other functions including Project Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality and Reliability.
• Keep track of component, PCB assembly and product manufacturing (including sub-contractors, supplier) and conduct deep-dive technical reviews when needed.
• Leverage structured new product development process and stage gate frameworks to execute project activities from initial research & development throughout the entire project development lifecycle
• Anticipate and alleviate bottlenecks, identify and mitigate risks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and be responsible to ensure every aspect of the project is properly and promptly executed.
• Constantly assess what is working, what is not working, identify areas for improvement and consistently drive continuous improvement
