Job Overview
TE Connectivity is seeking a proactive Procurement / Buyer professional to support manufacturing operations by managing end-to-end procurement activities for raw materials, components, and indirect supplies.
In this role, you will convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders, ensure timely material availability, maintain optimal inventory and safety stock levels, and work closely with planning, quality, and suppliers to meet delivery and quality requirements. You will also support supplier performance management, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with TE policies and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement of raw materials, components, and indirect supplies.
- Converting purchase requestion to purchase order timely manner
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid stock-outs.
- Collaborate with planning and quality teams and work with supplier to provide the estimated delivery date.
- Track and manage supplier performance, including on-time delivery and quality compliance.
- Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, quality discrepancies, and invoice mismatches.
- Maintain accurate purchase records and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement in procurement processes
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
- Support escalation processes weather they are related to quality, deliveries or NPI topics
- Maintain and Monitor safety stocks levels at plant and with supplier.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelors Degree (High School +4 years), supply chain management, or related fields
- 2–3 years of experience in procurement or buying role (manufacturing preferred).
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office tools.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, proactive team player with a strong sense of responsibility and goal orientation
