Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Marketing Communications teams design, execute and report on internal and external communications and PR activities, engaging with customers, outside agencies and industry organizations. They define the messages and oversee the implementation of initiatives that engage key audiences using a variety of approaches, including internal communications, media, public relations and social media, developing ideas and stories to execute internal and external communications.  They leverage a trend or storyline emerging from multiple inputs, e.g., team meetings, reports, social and traditional media, politics and current events, to elevate TE’s brand in the market and partner with marketing colleagues to ensure campaigns, lead generation and market-facing communications complement one another to drive marketing results and manages the relationship with TE’s public relations agency of record and assigned budget. The Communications team collaborates closely with various stakeholders from executive leadership team and Human Resources to a variety of product, sales and internal marketing partners.

As a member of the Transportation Solutions Integrated Marketing team, the Communications Analyst is responsible for developing, planning and executing world-class external communications programs for the Transportation Solutions businesses.
Reporting to the Director, Integrated Marketing – Transportation Solutions, the ideal candidate will coordinate, design and implement earned media activities and content that is aligned with business and marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, trade media engagement and customer engagement through contributed articles, new product announcements, event PR, speaking engagements and other PR activities.
The Communications Analyst must be passionate about the work they do; able to adapt quickly to changes in plans, goals or objectives; and able to create both strategic plans and execute tactical program elements. He or she must excel at short-form content development, messaging, storytelling and writing with a style that captures the author’s voice and the audience’s attention. 
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must be an expert at communicating in written, oral and online forms, and must be self-directed and able to flawlessly execute a high volume of communications projects that support a variety of different stakeholders. The Communications Analyst will need to build successful relationships based on confidence, trust and partnership with global business teams, subject matter experts, journalists, editors, trade media, external agencies and industry organizations.


Manage a high volume of external communications programs that engage global trade media, customers and internal audiences and leverage a variety of channels.  Ensure global content is localized by region, is on-brand and tells the desired TE story.
•    Manage external communications programs, copywriting and PR activities for the Transportation Solutions marketing team through contributed articles, new product announcements, event PR, interviews, podcasts and other earned media opportunities.
•    Coordinate earned media plans, editorial calendars, event PR calendars and press release calendars for the Transportation Solutions businesses.
•    Coordinate copywriting and distribution of press releases through external media email outreach tools (Cision), with content localized and translated for key target markets.
•    Monitor earned media activity and media pickups in real-time, adjusting live content as necessary. (Example: technical corrections on third-party media sites.)
•    Coordinate event PR activities: event press release, new product announcements, media outreach, booth interview scheduling, briefing documents and media follow-ups to no-shows / non–attendees. Track article development and publication.
•    Manage speaking engagement abstracts and applications for all events; manage the calls for papers calendar.
•    Drive database management, augmentation and segmentation of global trade media contacts, journalists and editors.
•    Manage earned media specifications for content, graphics, CTAs, tracking IDs, content deadlines and flight dates.
•    Coordinate earned media content approvals as needed from legal, trademark, regional, SME and corporate communications.
•    Manage earned content collection, testing and delivery to media.
•    Post final earned media content to SharePoint/TEAMS sites as required.
•    Coordinate publishing earned content to internal and external channels including TE.com, Elevate, mobile app, Scala, TechNet blog, etc. Share published earned content with BU owners and content authors. 
•    Manage inbound copywriting and communications projects for the Transportation Solutions businesses.
•    Create, edit and maintain short-form content for campaigns and external communications programs, including press releases, web pages, presentations, social media posts, email communications, messaging, event content, advertisements and content for internal comms channels.
•    Merge technical solutions with creative content ideas to develop content, messaging and positioning that clearly and compellingly tells the business/company story of our solutions, technologies and unique competencies. 
•    Coordinate and maintain long-form content for external communications activities, including trend papers, technical articles and presentations.
•    Support Transportation Solutions as the SAP backup admin for the marketing team, managing the processes for purchase requisitions, purchase orders, vendor payments, and new vendor setup with procurement.
•    Work collaboratively with Transportation Solutions marketing teams, external freelancers, vendors and agencies.
•    Support other Transportation Solutions marketing-related projects as required.
