Job Overview

The Logistics Analyst has accountability for the continuous flow of product movements from our TE sites and suppliers to the end user. The Logistics Analyst will oversee and support TE colleagues from Aerospace, Defence & Marine Business Unit and other Business Units. Primarily this work will take place at the new DHL SWROC facility in Avonmouth, Bristol. 


Key tasks of the job:

Quality/Shipping Office and Support tasks:
•    Communication via group mailboxes UKTECHEX & UKTECHQA
•    Export administration processing and all documentation including ATR1, EUR1& Certs of origin
•    Organisation of export collections with freight forwarders
•    Accurate and timely communication with TE customs broker and couriers.
•    Compliant record keeping following the sites closed loop documentation process.
•    Organisation of special export markings/requirements and commercial invoices.
•    Detailed communication internally and externally on all export matters.
•    Planning and coordinating Large outbound consolidated shipments
•    Premium freight service
•    Quality approvals to ISO9001, Source Inspection, batch and test reports checks.
•    Approval of product blocks from incoming product including raw materials
•    Approving and creating test reports for space wire – ISA
•    Management of the Quality KPI’s including Customer Complaint Investigation
•    Helping when required with the Customer returns process
•    Conduct and coordinate Internal, Customer and Third-Party Audits


Technical & analytic tasks:
•    Key Systems User, Assist4, TMS
•    Certified key user Import / Export, SAP, Transport 
•    Work closely with the ADM compliance and UK Brexit task force to support smooth transition from the UK
•    Fiscal calendar workload planning, working closely with TESOG & ADM to maximize billings, including revenue recognition
•    End of month financial reporting
•    Working closely with the ADM and TE legal entity trade compliance manager and UK trade compliance team for trade related matters including local responsibility for local management of technical control plans. 
•    Escalation of trade-related matters to the ADM compliance team.

What your background should look like:

Qualifications & specialist training required:  
•    A qualification in International Trade & Logistics would be an advantage
•    A good knowledge and understanding of Incoterms


Experience required
•    Experience in the Logistics industry and preferably within a busy Export or transport Office 
•    Good understanding of Finance, including Letters of Credit, contracts, Customs and Tariffs
•    Experience with ISO9001
•    Confident user of MS office, SAP, TMS, Assist4 & warehouse systems
•    Previous TE experience in a Logistics function would be a significant advantage.
•    An understanding of customs procedures, trade and export controls would be advantage
