Job Overview

Data Collection and Analysis:
  • Gather, clean, and organize large datasets from various sources.

  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.

Model Development:
  • Build and test statistical models (e.g., time series analysis, regression, machine learning algorithms) to forecast key business metrics.

  • Continuously refine forecasting models based on performance and accuracy.

  • Assess market data and indices for forecast correlation.

  • Simulate the impacts of New Product Introduction (NPI), pricing changes and channel packages.

Reporting and Visualization:
  • Generate clear, concise reports on forecasting results and model performance.

  • Prepare data models and insights for loading into visualization tools (eg. Tableau / Power BI).

Collaboration:
  • Work with other departments, such as sales, finance, and product management, to understand business needs and provide forecasts that support strategic decision-making.

  • Assist demand planners in interpreting forecasts and explaining model assumptions to non-technical teams.

Performance Monitoring:
  • Regularly track the accuracy of forecasting models and adjust as necessary.

  • Use performance metrics to evaluate model success and make improvements..

Forecasting Best Practices:
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in statistical forecasting techniques and software.

  • Implement best practices for data handling, model selection, and validation.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in statistical modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages such as R, Python, or SAS.
  • Strong understanding of time series analysis, regression models, and other predictive analytics techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex statistical concepts to non- technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Experience of S&OP Process
  • Experience in Demand Planning
  • Experience with SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
