Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impacts LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods, and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, and support cost and cycle time reduction projects within operations as required.
The BCS sub-vertical of the Industrial Automation and Electrification Business Unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for an Industrial Engineer (m/f/d) located in Adelberg, Germany. In this role, you will work closely with our cross-functional teams to bring new products to market and optimize our manufacturing facilities. You will initiate and support cost models, P&L projections, cost savings calculations, forward costing, contribution margin analysis, and CERs to help deliver on our short- and long-term growth strategies.Job Requirements
- Support the BCS MDE team under the leadership of a senior level IE in the creation, validation, and approval of all required cost models, P&L projections, and CER’s to industrialize new connector development and manufacturing process innovations and improvements as well as sustaining capacity expansion and cost savings projects
- Consideration in P&L for both current standard cost and forward-looking true variable and fixed cost break-downs to drive the right long-term manufacturing decisions for our operational footprint
- Interact with key stakeholders such as project management, product management, development and sustaining engineering, quality, and manufacturing to drive completion of IE related LEAN Product Development stage gate milestones
- Support sustaining activities when/if required for maintaining existing portfolio and business, including systems such as TEBIT and SAP as required for new product launches and capacity expansions
- Support time studies for the various manufacturing processes, but especially manual through fully automated assembly
- Learn and monitor key manufacturing cost drivers for the product portfolio in order to effectively analyze ‘what if’ scenarios and forecast sensitivity analysis

Partner with procurement on external supplier costing calculations as required during the make vs. buy evaluation process, ensuring accurate allocation of regional cost impacts within P&L reporting
- Support fixed asset accounting if/as required in the EMEA region
What your background should look like
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Finance, or a related field
- Strong financial background with proven ability to understand, develop and interpret P&L statements
- Inquisitive mindset with curiosity and willingness to ask questions to ensure accurate financial calculations
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand technical documentation
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as stamping, molding, plating, and manual/semi/automated assembly is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a global team environment across multiple time zones
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Powerpoint is an advantage
- Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
