Provides timely and accurate accounting and Tax compliance activities across TE UAE and KSA entities/business with close co-ordination with the accounting team located in India as well as support the Energy Business Unit in terms of accounts receivables and credit control. In addition, the incumbent will be the point of contact for tax compliance and audits preparation with the external auditors and consultants.
Your main tasks
Month-end closing activities, General Ledger Governance and accounts reconciliation
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries for month close (exp…) (formal accounting records posted to the General Ledger to recognize business transactions)
- Manage accruals and accounts reconciliations
- Periodic review, allocation and recharge for various cost centers
- Prepare Monthly balance sheet and income statement for KSA & UAE entities
- Front-end statutory audits for KSA & UAE entities with external auditors
- Ensure timely and accurate closing cycle
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, proceed to accounts reconciliations in SAP
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, statutory filing and address any queries raised by local authorities
- Coordinate with India accounting team for accounting transactional operations and act as a primary contact
Indirect and Direct Tax and audits compliance for UAE & KSA
- Assist the tax consultants in preparing the VAT Filling, preparing all the needed documentation and ensuring VAT to GL reconciliations to ensure tax return positions are accurately recorded
- Monthly review cross-border payments for WHT applicability and ensuring correct accounting and documentation
- Support VAT return preparation, reconciliations and readiness for ZATCA audits and assessments
- Transfer pricing and ESR audit and compliance
Business support to Energy Business Unit
- Accounts receivables analysis for energy BU customers in the region (Credit control, collection forecast, follow-up of payments)
- Communication with BU customers and resolution of open issues
- Credit limit review and ensuring communication with sales team and controller
Your ideal background
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Finance and accounting
- Professional certification from reputed international accounting/finance institutes will be an added advantage.
- At least 6+ years of work-related experience in accounting in the Manufacturing or related industries within a multinational company or shared service environment in the Middle East region
- Prior experience working with SAP would be an added advantage
- Prior experience in one of the big 4 Audit firms is highly appreciated
- Good communication skills in spoken & written in English (any other language would be an asset)
- Operate Independently and willing to learn in a highly matrix organization
- Possess good working attitude and organization skills.
