Job Overview

As an Account Manager within the Energy business unit, you will act as a single contributor and report directly to the Sales Manager. You will be based in our office in Amman, Jordan. TE Connectivity's Account Management Teams are responsible for selling TE's products, systems or services, providing detailed technical product information and maintaining relationships with customers in assigned geographic territory, industry or accounts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participation in definition of the product strategy and roadmap
  • Define the most suitable products for the company
  • Conduct feasibility study and market research
  • Open new markets for our products
  • Provide professional follow-up with the distributors and ensure proper stock levels are available
  • Develop enquiries, proposals and quotations
  • Estimate the consumer demand for the product to obtain a realistic forecast
  • Manage, identify potential customers, and stay informed of any competing products on the market
  • Manage tendering and bidding processes
  • Develop pricing strategies and oversee product development
  • Work closely with advertising and public relations agencies to promote the product
  • Meet or exceed the monthly/annual target for the product and follow up on sales and target achievement with the salesforce
  • Assist in the development & enhancement of company sales
  • Build and maintain active relationships with customers and understand their business drivers, goals and market activities to meet annual sales objectives
  • Provide sales and technical support including products training and presentation customers or distributors
  • Successful previous experience as a sales engineer or manager for Near East and Iraq. A reginal experience in Egypt and Libya is advantage 
  • Define the market potentials and build strategic sales plan to increase market share and meet sales forecast 
  • Frequent travel (50%) as required
     

What your background should look like:

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Electrical/ Electro-Mechanical Engineering degree
  • Business degree will be an distinct advantage 

 

Key Requirements

  • Fluency in English & Arabic, both written and verbal
  • Experience working in the levant region: Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon (Egypt advantageous)
  • Good technical knowledge in Electrical Engineering & Power systems
  • Strong marketing experience and ability to handle more than one product simultaneously
  • Ability to exercise own initiative
  • Exeptional communication and team work skills with both colleagues and clients
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Proven leadership & strong channel management skills in regional market.
  • Excellent negotiation skills
