Job Overview

Location: Netherlands 
Position Overview:
The DND Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) provides support to customers in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), TE sales force, and Product and Account Managers as a “real time” contact within the region. The CQE is the liaison between TE manufacturing and engineering functions and the TE EMEA customers. The main goal of this position is to achieve improved customer Q-scorecard, Extraordinary Customer Experience (ECE) and minimum cost of poor quality by fulfilling customer requirements, quick and thorough response time, and building customer relationships.  
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
•    Acts as project manager and maintain close customer communication during high-impact OEM quality events.
•    Coordinates cross-functional problem-solving teams to investigate quality issues and minimize customer impact, TE PPM, and cost of poor quality.
•    Coordinates customer complaint investigation and resolution for issues related to quality errors/defects on-site at customer locations when required. 
•    Follows-up with customers as necessary to obtain detailed information of claim (photographs, test results, dimensional measurements, date codes, quantities, part numbers, etc.) 
•    Drives failure analysis of suspect/rejected products.
•    Initiates product containment activities in order to support the initial steps of the 8D process.
•    Drives the effort to achieve 3D response time of 24 hours or less. 
•    Influences without authority in efforts to achieve 5D/8D response time within 10 business days or less. 
•    Participates in FMEA reviews to provide input regarding voice of the customer when required.
•    Supports the MRB team functions for disposition of non-conforming products.
•    Travels to EMEA customer locations to review TE product and application as it is being used by the customer and to foster productive working relationships.
•    Identifies and communicates characteristics that can become OEM pass through risks back to management product engineering and manufacturing locations.  

What your background should look like:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field required 
•    Prefer 3-5 years’ experience in Customer Quality 
•    Ability to lead and coordinate activities involving various cross-functional teams 
•    Experience with various problem-solving tools preferred (i.e. DMAIC, 8 Disciplines, etc.) 
•    Able to build customer relationships and act as voice of the customer within the TE internal organization 
•    Solid computer skills for office applications 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
•    May require travel to customers and other TE locations, including overnight and multi-day trips.

•    Ability to understand and discuss technical engineering issues.
•    Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
•    Comfortable interfacing with all levels in the organization including Executive Management.
•    Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.
•    Must be able to meet deadlines.
