Global Product Manager Lighting

Job Overview


  • Executes a clear portfolio strategy for the assigned product responsibility that positions Industrial Device to deliver strong financial results.
  • Works closely with Regional PM team, System Architect and Sales to maintain a strong new product portfolio aligned to the overall strategy for growth.
  • Works effectively with the Regional PMs to drive execution of the product line strategies.
  • Articulates market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends and develops an in-depth understanding of major competitors in the key product markets.
  • Partners with the Operations team to define demand and appropriate service models to win in the market.
  • Manages the product lifecycle by developing and implementing life cycle strategies.
  • Communicates widely and at multiple levels in the organization
  • Manages the P&L (sales and gross margin) for the assigned product line.
  • Tracks progress to the business plan and facilitates resolution gaps.
  • Defines resource requirements necessary to execute the product and technology roadmaps.
  • Drives YOY gross margin expansion by developing and executing robust pricing strategies and driving operational productivity.

What your background should look like:

  • 5+ years of product management and/or strategy and/or business development in electrical connectivity and ideally in Outdoor Lighting or Horticulture Lighting market.
  • Proven track record in strategy development.
  • Proved track record of meeting/exceeding performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.  MBA preferred
  • Customer focus with solutions oriented thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization functions internally and externally to TE.
  • Business acumen combined with an entrepreneurial mind-set.  Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with business plans.
