Job Overview

The Quality Manager – APAC is responsible for overseeing and leading all quality-related activities within the manufacturing operations, ensuring that products meet the required standards, and compliance regulations, and achieve customer satisfaction. The role includes strategic planning, process improvements, quality control systems implementation, and team leadership to promote continuous quality improvement. The Senior Quality Manager will work closely with various departments, including production, engineering, supply chain, and customer service, to foster a culture of quality throughout the organization.  The Energy BU has locations in Asia Pacific and Australia.

Job Requirements

Process Improvement & Innovation:
- Identify and lead initiatives for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes to enhance quality, reduce defects, and improve efficiency. 
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to drive process optimization and waste reduction. 
- Implement root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality issues, ensuring that problems are resolved in a timely and effective manner. 
 
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies related to manufacturing and quality. 
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and customer requirements, ensuring all products meet specifications and standards. 
- Manage audits and inspections, both internal and external, ensuring readiness and compliance with certifications and standards. 
- Monitor and report on risk management related to product quality and safety.   

Team Development & Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing quality team, providing mentorship, training, and development opportunities. 
- Foster a collaborative and proactive approach to quality across departments and ensure effective communication of quality objectives. 
- Evaluate and improve the performance of the quality team through regular assessments, feedback, and career development planning. 
 
Customer Relations & Satisfaction:
- Work with customer service and production teams to address quality-related customer complaints, returns, or feedback. 
- Engage with key customers to discuss quality requirements and concerns, ensuring their needs are met while maintaining compliance. 
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring that quality standards are adhered to throughout the supply chain. 
 
Reporting & Analysis:
- Provide regular reports and presentations to senior leadership on quality metrics, goals, challenges, and achievements. 
- Analyze data from audits, inspections, and quality control activities to identify trends and drive decision-making. 
- Track and report on quality improvement initiatives and their impact on operational performance.

What your background should look like

•    10+ years' experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. 
•    Proven experience implementing quality management systems (QMS), including ISO, IATF, or similar certifications. 
•    Strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. 
•    Experience in supplier quality management and customer quality relationship management.
