Account Management Teams are responsible for selling TE's products, systems or services, providing detailed technical product information and maintaining relationships with customers in assigned geographic territory, industry or accounts.

This position will be a part of our ICT BU (Industrial & Commercial Transportation) and will report to the Sales Manager.

Job Responsibilities

Target :

  • The Resident Engineer is required to locally support designated OEMs and provide ECE whilst balancing the business needs of TE Connectivity.

 

Main Tasks & Resonsibilities:

  • Resident Engineer for Volvo Truck and Bus (and possibly other OEMs) responsible for support the implementation of new projects and maintaining customer satisfaction through local on-site support. 
  • Work with the Global Account Manager and the Regional Account Manager to identify ways to enhance customer satisfaction and TE efficiency locally and at the allocated OEM.
  • Lead change activity for both part detail and location changes and work on the OEM systems to ensure  prompt and timely implementation. 
  • Work with the OEM to provide ECE and resolve conflict whilst balancing the business needs of TE Connectivity.
  • Follow up TERP projects and fulfil the specific contract demands to ensure the smooth implementation and introduction of new projects.
  • Work at all levels at the OEM and within TE to raise and resolve issues for the mutual benefit of TE and the OEM.
  • Has a specialist depth of knowledge in TE products, specific projects and capabilities.
  • Builds a strong network of relationships at Volvo Truck and Bus group companies and other OEMs as required.
  • Responsible for supporting the preparation of presentation, quotations and negotiations of specific projects under the guidance of the GAM. 
  • Identify application areas where TE does not have a dominant position and identify new business opportunities to the GAM and RAM for enhancing TE’s content per vehicle.
  • Communicate results and account activity regularly and comprehensively as requested by the Global Account Manager, the Regional Sales Manager and the Senior Management team.
  • As appropriate, be part of functional teams, helping to define and managing resources as required.
  • Works independently with guidance in only the most complex situations.
  • Regularly reports on significant Truck and Bus market activities generally and at the OEM.
  • Assists in training junior staff and new ICT team members as required.  

 

What your background should look like:

Qualifications :

  • Engineering Degree
  • 2 - 5  years experience in Engineering, Product or Project Management
  • B.S or B.A qualifications are a plus

  • Knowledge of trends / competition / technology that will influence products and sales
  • Strong problem solving, strategic and tactical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken – Swedish and/or French would be an advantage. 
  • Ability to form successful working relationships quickly at all levels 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to motivate others
  • Culturally sensitive
  • Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international matrix organisation
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package
