Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Shipping & Receiving Teams perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties. They use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting incoming and outgoing shipments. They follow shipping practices and procedures, transportation routing, schedules and requirements. The Shipping & Receiving Teams receive incoming materials and prepare materials for shipment. They process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents. They also route merchandise to destinations.

 

As Shipping Receiving Support you would support site operation for outbound transportation activities. Responsible for creation of outbound shipments and effectively collaborating with customers and operational teams to build loads, prepare necessary documentation for outbound shipments and ensure that daily shipments are processed accurately and timely.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Core Responsibilities

  • Build outbound shipments according to customer requirements or shipping instructions and in accordance with daily shipping schedule.
  • Create, distribute and file daily bills of lading and supporting documentation.
  • Update and maintain all transportation logs and reports.
  • Schedule pick-ups and appointments according to customer requirements and in accordance with carrier schedules.
  • Complete daily related tasks and communicate relevant carryover tasks.
  • As required process export paperwork and to ensure compliance with US Customs and other government agencies.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Experience

  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems preferred
