Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
Responsibilities & Qualifications

As a TE Compounding Operator, a typical day may include:

Chemical processing using Mixers and Pre- Weigh Chemicals:

  • Control and operates mixers that runs at elevated temperatures. 
  • Refer to batch cards / specifications for proper amounts, temperature controls, weights and sequences of additions of raw materials and any other additional instructions for manufacturing or cleaning process.
  • Cleaning of all processing equipment between change overs from different colors or chemical types. 
  • Manage change overs and minor trouble shooting of the equipment.
  • Operates automated feeders, and manual lifting of ingredients will be required.
  • Cleaning, scraping, wiping on mixers using Pneumatic tools.
  • Pre-weigh chemicals into “batch sized” quantities and poly bags (prior to use on the mixers). 
  • Forklift Operation is required for the proper move of the components and tools

Other Responsibilities:

  • Maintain work area in clean and orderly manner, especially during shift transition.
  • Ability to work independently and Multi-task.
  • Must be able to work irregular shifts to cover production demand as required.
  • Keep written production records on every batch mixed.

What your background should look like...

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing/compounding or related field
  • Perform arithmetic (basic math) operations quickly and accurately
  • Computer use experience is required, SAP or MFGPro a plus
  • Forklift and/or pallet jack experience is required
  • Effective communication process with co-workers concerning daily production strategies.
  • Must be able to read and understand written instructions in English.
  • Must be able to stand for a 12-hour shift.
  • Must be able to carry or lift 40 lbs to shoulder height repetitively and lift over 50 lbs with automated equipment.
  • Must be certified and qualified to wear a respirator, dust mask and hearing protection.
