Job Overview
We are looking for a technical sales engineer with a real talent for business and communication to join TE’s Energy business unit in Hong Kong. This position will be located in our sales office in Hong Kong and will report to the Sales Manager, HK. He/She is responsible for selling TE Energy’s products, solutions and services, advising customers on detailed technical product information, providing technical support, training and product demonstrations and maintaining relationships with assigned customers in Hong Kong & Macau SARs
Job Requirements
- Develop and execute strategic account growth plans in line with the TE business strategy and product roadmap to ensure revenue growth, account penetration and customer satisfaction of the assigned accounts.
- Serve as the primary interface between the Energy customers and TE Connectivity.
- Deliver extraordinary customer experience by technically advising customers on TE products, solutions and services to best meet the needs of the Customer
- Offer custom technical solutions that benefit the customer
- Develop sales opportunities and assist in developing the pipeline for future sales activity through daily interactions
- Outbound calling to establish new, high-quality opportunities with prospective customers and contacts
- Communicate via various channels such as telephone, email and chat with customers and internal support areas including production, sales, engineering, logistics and others as necessary
- Develop and maintain relationships at all levels within the customer to position TE as a strategic partner to the customer.
- Responsible for the products of LV/MV cable accessories & smart grid products under the brands of Raychem, AMP, SIMEL, Bowthorpe, Kries
What your background should look like
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a technical major preferably in Engineering.
- Min 5 years of related technical field service, support, sales experience with local utilities, metro operators, or E&M contractors, for electrical or mechanical engineering related products, preferably with experience in multi-national corporations.
- Customer service experience with a passion for building customer loyalty through exceptional listening, relationship building, and strong written and verbal communication in both Chinese & English.
- Ability to establish relationships internally & externally.
- Demonstrated competency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Teams
- Demonstrated ability to maintain progress on multiple tasks, set priorities and manage time effectively.
- Team player, critical thinker, self-motivated and proactive positive attitude
