Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Tax Teams develop and implement systems to compile information for various federal, state, and local reports. They ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns. They assess tax implications surrounding pending mergers and acquisitions. The Tax Teams recommend ways to minimize corporate tax through use of tax laws and regulations. They may administer international tax laws and regulations and also audit financial records to determine tax liability

 

Overall Job Responsibilities:

•    Assist and contribute to the professional development of the teammates and colleagues in the regional Tax Planning and Tax Reporting teams. 

•    Serve as the technical resource for regional tax matters, identifying issues, risks, and opportunities.

•    Support strategic tax planning initiatives, effectively setting priorities, building consensus, and ensuring inclusion amongst Tax functional leaders.

•    Collaborate as a Tax department contact person for the Sectors, BUs, and other business functions in the region.

•    Proactively assess and timely inform Tax leadership on regional tax policy developments.

•    Develop and implement tax policy advocacy strategies in collaboration with other Tax functions and the Global Government Affairs team.

•    TEOA-F: Identify, initiate and drive improvement to departmental processes and procedures.

•    Oversee and ensure completion of assigned controls and processes.

•    Support the regional Tax Reporting team to ensure proper treatment and characterization of planning actions.

•    Assist and lead tax audits in the region, with support from the regional Tax Reporting team.

•    Support Treasury and Legal teams.

 

What your background should look like:

Candidate Profile:

•    10-15 years of progressive experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend with international and regional tax planning experience. 

•    Significant experience managing the development and execution of global tax planning initiatives with APAC emphasis. 

•    Superior writing, analytical, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

•    Master’s degree or LL.M. in Taxation preferred.

•    Transfer pricing experience. 

•    US ASC 740 experience is a plus.

•    Self-starter, creative, team player, and positive attitude!
