Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Material Handler Teams perform the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. They unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items. They lift heavy items and may operate a forklift. Material Handlers prepare and maintain records of shipments, post weights and shipping charges and prepare goods for final shipment. They examine, stock and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines and may prepare kitting packages for assembly production.

The successful candidate will possess a safe and positive work attitude and willingness to promote TEOA/Lean manufacturing practices:

  1. Have experience with job kitting practices, job issuing procedures and documentation requirements or be capable of being certified in same.
  2. Be able to perform multiple computer transactions with computerized ERP system (Oracle) on a daily basis. Familiarity with MS Office products, Docs Open, and e-mail.
  3. Understand basic inventory practices such as FIFO, Lot/Serial control and NCM materials
  4. Possess the ability to store, count, weigh, and inspect for damage all materials required to be provided to production.
  5. Be licensed, or possess the aptitude to be licensed, and be skilled in the operation of forklifts.
  6. Be able to work with minimum supervision, be flexible, and willing to work in all areas of Material Control and/or manufacturing
