The Staff Project Manager Engineer will be responsible for managing various engineering projects.  He/she will be accountable for leading the projects to a successful conclusion and ensuring that each meet the targets set in terms of Design Requirements, Opex, Capex and Timeline.The role will provide leadership over New Product Development and Life Cycle Engineering projects.  This will be specifically for TE’s PRS subvertical range of product lines.This position will be reporting to PMO Leader , and coordinating with IND PRS teams located in Austria, Czech Republic, Morocco , China, India and Netherlands .The Project Manager will direct cross-functional project team members and is fully accountable to the Project Approval Committee (PAC) for his / her projects.

Your main tasks:

Strategy

- Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span across multiple customers and product lines.

- Maximize PjM performance, profitability, competitiveness, and customer Expectations

-Adherence to PMO KPI’s (LOT / LOC / LOQ )

Execution

- Work in a cross-functional environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.

- Manage project risk, compliance, and enterprise governance.

- Support Eng Mgr to create and complete on time Leap projects and Contribute on the VAVE strategy execution plan

- Support Product Managers In Go to Market Strategy

- Facilitate the PAC process

- Promote and support an atmosphere of continuous improvement in compliance with (TEOA) approach (through leading and contributing in Kaizen events, Improving team’s capabilities)

- Support on driving the PMO best Practices and establish Dynamic Lessons learned routines with processes and workflows adjustments

Talent

- Contribute on Building a creative, innovative, and agile project management organization

 

Your ideal profile:

  • Educational Degree: Engineer with university degree or equivalent.
  • 8+ years’ of professional experience in Project Management
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification (CAPM, PMP, or PgMP)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continues improvement attitude
  • Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with multi-cultural teams
  • Ability to form strong Teams and demonstrate strong leadership skills
  • Proactive, resilient, and self-confident
  • Good English knowledge, verbal and in writing (also for presenting)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Statistical knowledge (Six Sigma, SPC, MSA, AIAG and other statistical standards) / Green / black Belt
  • Specialized and profound knowledge in electronics, physics, mechanics and plastics
