Job Overview

The Global Director of Continuous Improvement plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, process optimization, and organizational efficiency. This position involves strategic planning, process analysis, change management, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
The Director will work with Regional Operations Directors and other functional teams to bring our Business Unit to unprecedented levels of excellence and achieve best-in-class total customer satisfaction, competitiveness, and talent.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing Talent:
    • Mentor and develop team members at various levels (novice, apprentice, practitioners, and Masters) within the TEOA operational team.
    • Prepare future leaders skilled in lean systems and operational management.
  • Productivity Leadership:
    • Lead productivity initiatives for the Business Unit (BU).
    • Build and execute the productivity pipeline, ensuring a year-over-year surplus in productivity projects.
  • TEOA Strategy and Deployment:
    • Establish the TEOA section of the Global Strategic Plan.
    • Deploy lean strategies, converge toward benchmark KPIs, and evolve flow across all factories.
  • Deployment Planning and Execution:
    • Lead the construction and follow-up of the TEOA deployment plan.
    • Support the execution of the Plant Improvement Plan.
  • System Implementation and Metrics:
    • Set targets for implementing and applying all elements of the system, including digital factory and operational metrics.
    • Integrate TEOA and digital transformation planning and execution for ICT factories and distribution centers globally.
  • Coaching and Facilitation:
    • Develop and coach global staff on the Lean Manufacturing mindset.
    • Facilitate Hoshin Kanri development and deployment across the operations team.
  • Best Practices and Transformation:
    • Identify, promote, and transversalize best practices within the TEOA Network across the BU.
    • Drive end-to-end Lean Manufacturing implementation and transformation projects (layout, flows, lean equipment, etc.).
  • Cost Reduction and Change Leadership:
    • Lead and coach teams on cost reduction, benchmarking, and plant priorities.
    • Be an active change agent, advising Operations leaders on continuous improvement.
  • TEOA Principles and People Empowerment:
    • Ensure deep understanding of TEOA principles and KPIs at all operational levels.
    • Prioritize the TEOA plan based on its impact on profit and loss (P&L) results.
    • Promote an organization based on TEOA that empowers people.
  • Standardized Work and Lean Structures:
    • Assure Standardized Work construction and adherence.
    • Develop lean plant structures, primarily focusing on continuous improvement.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $162,320 - $243,480 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
