Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Facilities Support Team members perform activities to maintain and provide current and future facilities operating at peak performance. Team members conduct facilities and equipment maintenance tasks as well as property administration, office planning, corporate leasing and/or real estate coordination. They work closely and provide advice and counsel to company and/or vendor representatives coordinating major facility constructions or modifications or leasing and real estate activities.
The focus of this role is to repair and maintain all company plant infrastructure and equipment needs as directed by the plant Operations Leader and to assist with the upkeep of general building services. The post holder is expected to be flexible in a demanding position where there will be times when this role will require overtime and weekend work to meet production schedules at short notice. 


 
Job Responsibilities

  • To carry out planned preventative maintenance procedures to ensure general Safety & Environmental compliance of the buildings and plant.
  • To complete time sheets and work instructions and to supply them to the Operations manager on a weekly basis.
  • To carry out repairs and preventative maintenance to infrastructure and equipment in a cost effective and efficient manner thereby minimizing loss of production time.
  • To assist in the installation of new plant & machinery as directed by the Operations Leader.
  • Maintain all required training and certifications.
  • To carry out Decorating.
  • Plant vendor coordination to complete required PM and improvement tasks
  • To carry out Fabrication tasks as required.
  • To assist with Machine installations.
  • To carry out any other reasonable task as the company requires from time to time.
  • To carry out chemical storage and safe disposal

What your background should look like:

  • Typically requires 4 or more years of related work experience. Requires high school diploma. Completion of an AA degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • A good understanding of OSHA safety requirements, including determining proper PPE, working from heights, and PIT safety.
  • Experience with a CMMS, such as E-Maint.
  • Requires excellent aptitude for helping others, teamwork, inclusion.
  • Experience working from heights. 
  • Experience using PIT such as personal lifts, forklifts, and ladders.

Plus+es

  • Certified in Hazardous Waste Control
  • OSHA 10 certification +, OSHA 30 +++
  • Maintaining regulatory permits such as 1200Z, and Industrial Wastewater Permits.
  • Excellent understanding of fire prevention systems such as clean agent systems, and pressurized sprinkler systems.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $26.20 - 39.29/HR or $54,480 - $81,720/year (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
