Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Shipping & Receiving Teams perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties. They use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting incoming and outgoing shipments. They follow shipping practices and procedures, transportation routing, schedules and requirements. The Shipping & Receiving Teams receive incoming materials and prepare materials for shipment. They process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents. They also route merchandise to destinations.



The Shipping Supervisor position requires a minimum of 2 years experience in manufacturing/production management and shipping experience.  The supervisor will be responsible for managing, training, and evaluating the shipping department in a work environment dealing with very precise, delicate, and expensive medical device components.


Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Provide motivational leadership to department staff and develop the needed skills of department leads and production associates.
  • Provide structure and cross-training to ensure leads and production associates are capable of doing a variety of shipping and cleaning tasks needed per product flow requirements.
  • Delegate objectives and tasks to leads and production associates and ensure that the tasks are performed.  To include but not limited to:
    • Ensure appropriate cleaning, packaging, labeling, and shipping of Creganna Medical products.
    • Ensure Finished Goods Inventory is organized and accurately maintained.
    • Ensure proper receipt and distribution of incoming shipments.
  • Evaluate work performance of employees and discipline and coach as needed.
  • Monitor and respond appropriately to department objectives to include on-time delivery, safety, quality and operating costs.
  • Maintain effective communication with all other departments.
  • Work with other department supervisors and leads and the Methods group to continuously improve product flow.
