Job Overview

 

TE Connectivity's Project Management Teams are responsible for managing the operational aspects of projects from inception through implementation. They coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project teams and line management. Our Teams review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. They assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. They also develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Tasks and Responsibilities

 

• Influence in present role for assigned projects.
• Proactively work with all functions in managing resources for the projects.
• Manages risk and compliance across all the assigned projects.
• Adopt and promote PMO best practices.
• Escalate issues and risks that cannot be resolved at the core team level.
• Direct interaction with customers and internal Project Steering Committee when required.


Special Knowledge & Skills:


1. General:
• Formal project management education and/or PMP certification (or pursuing to get one).
• Some experience with LEAN PD, Waterfall, Agile methodologies.
• Good knowledge of Industry standards.
• Ability to deliver on issues of low complexity without guidance or supervision.
• Proactively seeks information outside its team and systematically shares it with the group.
• Leadership - Negotiation.
• Microsoft Project.


2. Technical/ engineering skills/ mindsets
• Knowledge on terminals, connectors and related manufacturing technologies in order to drive cost efficiency.
• Analytical problem-solving approach.

What your background should look like:

 

 1. Project Management:
• Master/associate degree in engineering, Science or Business.
• Typically has 3 years of experience managing project of medium complexity in a regional setting.
• Determines best course of action to meet schedules, resolve and/or mitigate project risks.
• Thorough knowledge of project management tools and processes.
• Verify conformance to existing processes, tracks appropriate metrics.
• Promotes team spirit by being a team contributor.


2. Business Analysis
• Effectively transform the VOB/VOC into customer focused solutions - entrepreneurial mindset.


3. Process Engineering
• Seeks to continuously improve existing processes - growth mindset.
• Awareness about Quality Management System and IATF 16949 requirement - can apply this in PjM activities.


4. Change implementer / Manager
• Evaluating, documentation, monitoring & implementing & changes throughout the project.
