PROJECT MANAGER ENGINEER II

      JOB SUMMARY

 

  • To get new projects introduction to production location smoothly, project engineer needs to lead the resources in the facility to provide the quotation to win the project.

 

  •  Work with PJM to prepare CER to get the budget approval, monitor the schedule of tooling fabrication sample production, send the sample for engineering and customer evaluation.

 

  • In phase before production, monitor E1 order STR (Ship to Customer Request) and COPQ (Cost Of Poor Quality) tracking. And negotiate sales, PM to avoid late STR and improve COPQ with MPDE-A.
  • With the objective of leading new project to mass production as scheduled within the requirement of company rule, corporate policies and with the budget approved by the management

 

 

JOB DUTIES

 

  • Pricing(quotation):

 

  1. Prepare the cost Model

 

  1. Work with engineering and production team to finalize manufacturing process for cost situation to gain more business by providing competitive new project cost.

 

 

  1. Lead CFR meeting to make cost review in each Gate. Finalize and submit cost for review.

 

 

  • CER preparation:

 

  1. Prepare the new project related CER applicationsand monitor the CER achievement(like amount, cost down trend and production life, mass production ramp up schedule etc.)

 

  1. Work with related departments to provide supporting documents for CER approval needs to get the CER approved by management smoothly

 

 

  • Project management

 

  1. Use project software to make project detailed plan. Periodically review his(or her) project process and release daily(or weekly) reports for ongoing projectsupdate the projects on the website

 

  1. Host project meetings (e.g. kick-off, Management report in G3&5)

 

 

  1. Provide status reports to related departments regarding on-going new projects to introduce new project to the plant successfully and ensure completion of the tasks for each members of the project.

 

  • Production coordination

 

  1. Set working guidelines for project engineers to resolve issues in mass production process

 

  1. Provide technical support, suggestions, and coordinate resources to the production issues to improve manufacturing process.

 

  1. Ensure availability of resource and identify the risks.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor of Science or above degree and engineering background.
  • More than 5 years in project management experience.
  • Know five quality tools, such as FMEA, SPC, APQP, etc
  • English communication skill- Fluent in written and Spoken English.
  • Business acumen, Command skills, Customer focus, Negotiating; Project management skills; Planning, Time conflict management, Excel skill, Risk Management/Assessment, Project Documentation
  • Knowledge on MS Project or other Project Management software, tools, SAP
  • Knowledge on different Manufacturing Processes (Plating, Molding, Assembly, Stamping and Tooling)
