Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

What your background should look like:

Work with Production Scheduling, Value Stream Managers, and other employees to ensure production equipment is scheduled for PM’s at least 72 hours in advance.  

Create PMs that include all PM tasks, BOM, proper interval, OEM manuals, pictures, and all other information to ensure PMs can be completed as desired.  

Develop a PM audit process to ensure PMs achieve the desired results.  

Create a Visual Management system that informs operations when the next PM is due.  

Report daily/weekly on crucial PM Metrics – PM’s On-Time and Schedule Adherence.  

Ensure all PM work orders are closed out properly to provide accurate data for MTBF and MTTR calculations and other improvement projects.  

Successfully facilitate Kaizen events in the tool-shop and maintenance department to eliminate waste and improve performance. 

Ensure all Safety and Quality engagement activities are completed on time.  

Ensure that all SAFE elements from the SAFE program are in compliance.  

Recognize Employees for outstanding efforts and results through various TE avenues.  

Perform actions and assignments to ensure conformance to procedures, policies, and methods.  

Selects and assigns staff, ensuring equal employment opportunity in hiring and advancement.  

Evaluate and verify employee performance by reviewing completed work assignments and techniques.  

Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures training goals are obtained.  

Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work performed and priority projects.  

Support and be accountable for department budget, cost savings ideas, and generating cost estimates as needed.  

Engage and drive outside suppliers and equipment manufacturers for technical support and training needs.  

Lead, Support, and drive all OSHA, PPE, and plant safety systems and policies, including ISO and TS 16949 requirements and standards.  

Lead, support, and be accountable for TPM and other maintenance systems used within the facility.   

Lead staff through proper problem-solving methodologies to resolve turn-backs in equipment and escalate accordingly through the Tier escalation system. 

Work with MFG Engineering to ensure all equipment and processes are optimal for operations. 

  

Qualifications:  

The candidate must have an AS Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing Technology and 5 years of progressive maintenance and leadership combined experience or equivalent experience in maintenance and tooling. 

Candidate must have experience in SAP framework.  

Candidate needs considerable knowledge of standards, methods, principles, practices, tools, and equipment used in maintenance trades.  

Must have documented knowledge and experience relating to Electric motors, Controllers, Mechanical Systems, Pneumatic Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Vacuum Pumps, and other applicable plant equipment.  

Must have excellent knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerBi & Outlook.  

Working knowledge of Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing tools. 

Working knowledge of Mean Time to Failure and TPM programs preferred.  

Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.  

Individual must be a “Team Player” who can work in a fast-paced environment with multiple changing priorities.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $94,000 – $112,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
