Job Overview
Job Requirements
RESPONSABILITIES:
-Design, develop and improve molds, dies and tooling according to product and process specifications.
-Coordinate and follow up on internal and external work with suppliers for repairs, modifications or new fabrications in the manufacture of mold and die components.
-Perform tooling failure analysis and propose technical solutions to reduce downtime and costs.
-Implement and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance plans for molds and dies.
-Support the validation of new tooling (FAI, run tests, final adjustments).
-Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on reducing changeover and scrap times.
-Manage technical tool documentation (drawings, maintenance histories, specifications).
-Collaborate with the production, quality and engineering departments in the solution of problems related to tooling.
-Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in the manufacturing and maintenance processes of molds and dies.
-Provide technical support in CNC machining, erosion and wire machining for the manufacture and adjustment of molds and dies.
-Provide technical feedback to toolmakers for continuous improvement of tooling machining and repair processes.
-Reduction of recurrent tooling failures.
-Reduction of scrap and rework related to molds or dies.
-Document the progress, status and results of the assigned projects.
-Cover the Tool Room supervisor in case of absence or vacation.
-Represent the area in Tier meetings or additional meetings related to molds, dies or projects.
-Keep the updated status of projects, repairs and backlogs.
-Follow up on the actions agreed upon in meetings and ensure their compliance within the established times.
-Actively participate in the kick-off meetings; Give status of the design or mold modification that you are making, as well as escalation of any safety or support problem that you need: tools, material, information, etc. In case of absenteeism of the Tool Room Supervisor cover in meeting; giving priorities, as well as minutes of the meeting.
What your background should look like
REQUIREMENTS:
-Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering
-More than 2-4 years of proven experience Design and manufacture of molds and dies.
-Mold Design, Dies; Reverse Engineering.
-Intermediate English
-CAD Design (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CREO)
-Interpretation of geometric drawings and tolerances (GD&T)
-MasterCam Machines & Tools
-Machining, EDM, grinding and heat treatment, CNC machining, erosion and wire machining processes for mold and die making.
-Tool Room Maintenance
-Root Cause Analysis and Troubleshooting Tools (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why)
-Microsoft Office
