Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

What your background should look like:

RESPONSABILITIES:
-Review customer requirements, participate in new product introductions, inventory management, negotiate final activities of potential products and material flow by cost center.
-Follows and establishes practices that guarantee the correct administration of MPS (Programa maestro de producción) / MRP (planificación de requisitos de materiales)/CAP parameters for planning, proper use of the system and compliance. Follow practices and tasks that guarantee the achievement of service metrics.
-Manages plant manufacturing requirements according to the inventory policy and plant capacities.
-Direct contact with customers to establish agreements and coordinate delivery times.
-Responsible for managing the expected inventory levels of finished products and sub-assemblies in the distribution center and plant by division.
-Manages manufacturing resources based on the analysis of demand, forecast, and manufacturing trends to provide management information to support the decision-making process.
-Manage planning practices and communication tools and guarantees compliance according to the requirements of the quality system.
-Master planning of the plant's production programs.
-Make projections for financial and operating indicators of the plant

REQUIREMENTS:
-University degree or equivalent. 
-5 years of experience on a similar roles
-Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and communication skills 
-Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task 
-Ability to work in a matrix environment with multi-cultural teams
-Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continues improvement attitude
-Ability to form successful working relationships quickly at all levels 
-Advanced knowledge in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
-Fluent in English both written and spoken
