Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

Tasks and Responsibilities

 

  • AQE engineers are part of the project core team and being the voice of the customer as well as the interface to other TE departments within product development phase (NPD)
  • The AQE is supporting for all typical APQP Deliverables in LEANPD during the product and process design phase until the PPAP process starts, Facilitator.
  • Support the FMEA meetings to achieve the quality standard, structure, and content. (FMEA Software APIS Moderation reg. to D-FMEA and P-FMEA)
  • The AQE engineers are creating prototype and pre-launch control plans within the team during LEANPD. 
  • AQE engineers evaluates together with the core team members the customer specification, regarding technical quality requirements.
  • AQE engineers can follow and lead customer 2nd party-audits as a part of a LEANPD project. 
  • AQE is responsible for supporting the “Lessons Learned” process during project start, project development and in case of customer complaints to avoid re-occurrence for new developments. 
  • Collaboration in introducing and training of new quality and engineering related software packages, Quality procedures and systems.
  • Supporting the implementation of general quality standards in Engineering departments.
  • Support Safe Launch for critical projects to ensure 0 customer complaints before hand over the project to manufacturing site.
     

What your background should look like:

•    B.S. degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or related field.

•    Experience in Automotive and Quality related activities.

•    2 to 3 years of similar experience
