METROLOGIST

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure product and / or product components comply with specifications and quality standards. They test and inspect products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability, and to determine the suitability of product release.

Tasks Summary and Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the Metrology coordinator.

• Apply the metrology system according to IATF 16949 and internal regulations.

• Provide activities of metrological confirmation according to internal regulations.

• Maintain calibration software and documents in both electronic and paper form.

• Provide proper labeling of measuring equipment.

• Perform internal calibration of measuring equipment in the assigned measurement field according to related calibration procedures.

• Provide both regular and new outsourced calibration in the assigned field of metrology according to internal regulations.

• Review the results of internal ,outsourced calibration in relation to defined metrological requirements.

• Edit and authorize the internal calibration certificates.

• Create and revise the internal calibration procedures in the assigned measurement field.

• Provide training for personnel of the organization in the relevant field of measurement.

• Cooperate on projects related to the assigned field of metrology and measurement.

• Insures the good working order of the measuring equipment

  • Identifies the equipment failure

  • Ensures maintenance First Level and allowed maintenance possible.

  • Informs the personal of the lab in charge of the maintenance interface with the supplier

  • Insures 5Splus1 in the Lab area.

• Ensures a technical watch on the lab environment

Report to the leader about improvement on the test station

What your background should look like:

Educational Degree :

• BAC Technologic, Scientific or BAC professional

• BAC+2 (BTS ,DUT) in Mechanics, electrotechnic, electric, electromechanical and mesures physiques.

Professional Experience  :

• 2 years’ experience in various Technical environment (Laboratory ideally: field of measurement, calibration , metrology )

• Beginner can be accepted under supervision

Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills :

• Writing English

• Training about ISO 17025

• Statistical skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Technical expertise and skills in measurement system field

• Knowledge in calibration ,metrology field

• MS Office

• SAP
