Job Overview

The Data and Devices business within TE Connectivity is currently seeking an experienced manager of Sales Operations to support our Global Sales function. Responsibilities include Sales Strategy, Sales and Demand Management Planning function, Salesforce.com, Opportunity Funnel Management Sales Analytics and Sales Enablement. This role has a global focus and has direct reports in the Asia, Americas, and EMEA.

 

This role will drive sales strategy through analytics, metrics, tools, and practices to improve the overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales organization. This includes improving sales productivity and effectiveness, pipeline management, forecasting, sales enablement and process & technology. The Senior Manager, Sales Operations fosters close working relationships with internal (BU leadership, Information Services, Finance, Marketing and Operations) and external stakeholders to ensure the sales organization’s efficient operation and success.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytics, partnership, and process leadership to the sales organization.
  • Collaborate with sales leaders on the sales strategy and effective implementation into the sales regions.
  • Develop and drive best practices and programs to improve the overall sales effectiveness and business results.
  • Lead the demand management process and team including the global executive demand consensus quarterly meeting. Develop and implement process improvements and ensure year of year improvement to forecast accuracy.
  • Take lead to coordinate with Sales and other functions to help drive billing together via risks minimization and opportunities maximization.
  • Lead Pipeline Management to drive business pipeline, NPI and SFDC support. Support sales team on related business reporting/visibilities/analysis. Monitor and drive pipeline opportunity conversion.
  • Provide input in the development and administration of sales incentive plans, working with finance (owners) on audit, payout calculations and analysis.
  • Develop key performance metrics and dashboards that drive the performance of the sales team, including opportunity pipeline, revenue growth, and overall business results.
  • Develop and lead tools and training for the sales organization to ensure deep product and application knowledge of products and customer needs.
  • Lead the implementation and enhancement of Salesforce.com Creates global standardization for reporting for sales leadership, team and BU leadership. Maintain accurate order and sales standard reporting
  • Collaborate across functional areas (Information Services, Marketing, and Product Management) to execute on go-to-market strategy.
  • Design, implement, and support sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes. Establishes high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in planning, forecasting, and budgeting approaches used by the sales organization.
  • Collaborate with sales leaders to measure sales performance, implements comprehensive monthly forecasting process by customer/ region/ GPL and performs ad-hoc analysis to ensure sound decision-making.
  • Product Change Notifications (PCN) Management to fulfill both internal and external customer requirements.

Qualifications and Education

  • 10+ years’ experience in Sales environment and operations roles preferably within a technology/connector company
  • B.S. required (Finance preferred), MBA preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills; ability to work with a diverse team and influence/drive change across functional and business boundaries
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with other executives, functional leaders, and executives in a complex, global business environment
  • Ability to define, refine and implement sales processes, procedures and policies
  • Experience utilizing predictive analytics team to anticipate changes in customer and product requirements
  • Ability to build “Market Analytics” to support executive decision making – TAM, PAM, SAM, Share analysis, etc.) with “Executive Summaries and recommended actions”
  • Proven experience training sales staff and act as the company's sales operations expert
