Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Summary:

The project manager ICT Sensors is responsible for executing ICT Sensor projects by managing the project tasks and priorities in his/her projects. This role is responsible for regular project reporting to the Project Management Leader ICT Sensors, PAC committee and project assigned management functions. The project manager acts as the first contact for customers to all project related topics.   

He/she is responsible for the customer project communication by meeting customer expectations within the project margin targets. This role must closely collaborate with colleagues in Sales & BDM, Engineering, NPI, production, Quality, product management and PJM in the other regions.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Project Management

  • Execution of projects for the product line ICT FPS (fluid properties sensors).
  • Report project status, timeline and risks in a weekly manner
  • Projects in line with product and market strategy defined by ICT-PM
  • PAC reviews after G1 executed compliant to TE-project and Lean PD
  • Manage time line including technical project reviews gates. (Gates and ELMP process)
  • Manage the project P&L within the commitments given to the PAC.
  • Identify and report business opportunities to the BDM

2. Manage project pipe line

  • Prioritize project in line with targets from project management leader.
  • Detect and visualize resource conflicts in an early stage.
  • Actively seek coordination with PJM’s from other regions.

3. Execution – sensor projects

  • Execute sensor projects from gate G0 till G6.
  • Contribute to customer meetings in support of winning new business
  • Be the customer contact for project execution
  • Manage the project team of engineering, production, supply chain and quality through the project.
  • Manage the project P&L within the targeted margins and costs.

4. Execution – Post SOP Projects

  • Follow ramp up phase to secure quality and product delivery.
  • Execute engineering change projects for product improvements 

5. Team Management'

  • Manage horizontal project teams from all assigned departments and functions to the specific project.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or master in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering or related major.
  • At least 3 years proved experience in project management in automotive industry.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Able to travel domestically and globally (travel rate 20% pre year).
  • Excellent command in English in oral and written.
  • Good communication skill, result driven and self motivation.
  • Can work under pressure.
