Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Field Application Engineering Teams work intimately with customers to recommend products and solutions for new and existing applications. They identify new applications, requirement modifications and enhancements to meet customer specifications and conduct on-site installation and service of product and are responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle for potential application of company products to meet customer needs, including identifying opportunities; determining solutions; creating demand; preparing detailed product specifications and technical marketing support; ensuring high quality and timely project execution and conducting follow-up technical support. They also approve operational quality of systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities: 

•     Understand the capabilities of TE products and technologies and align them with the selected application requirements.
•    Engage with customers (existing, prospect, new) in the target vertical markets.
•    Cultivating strong relationships with new customers
•    Establish relationships with key customer engineering contacts and decision makers
•    Develop and execute customer strategic account growth plan/s in line with the TE business strategy and product roadmap to ensure revenue growth, account penetration and customer satisfaction of the assigned accounts
•    Engage with local distributors, Managing Distribution partners, their branches and TE Channel organization members as key partners of territory growth
•    Drive Pipeline (new project creation) and conversion ( win opportunities) through product and technical knowledge
•    Identify and understand current and future customer needs and opportunities to introduce and sell products and solutions to the customer. Promote TE APL technologies and product portfolio with the customer and drive projects.
•    Identify and understand current and future customer needs and translate into new product requirements.
•    Proactively address open customer issues, including quality issues, until appropriate closure
•    Generating new projects (products) and initiatives to accomplish above targets
•    Maintaining client information and opportunity pipeline in the CRM database.
•    Working closely with staff across departments to implement growth strategies, with special interactions with business development.
•    Assist with drafting business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required.
•    Use VOC (Voice of Customer) tools to understand the accounts’ technology, strategic direction, and electronic connectivity needs. Communicate these needs to internal TE Connectivity teams

Ability to drive and own the territory growth leveraging all the key stake holder through technical knowledge and customer/application focus
•    Ability to leverage engineering competency to understand customer requirements directly related to interconnects, sockets and cable assemblies
•    Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with business plans.
•    Strategic thinking with the ability to execute on priorities.
•    Strong interpersonal, listening & negotiating skills to build partnerships
•    Understanding of connector functionality, technical features potentially also connector design and mechanical assembly and/or manufacturing techniques
•    Understanding of manufacturing processes to include stamping, molding, plating, and automated product assembly
•    Ability and willingness to travel as required, mainly regionally
•    Successful candidates must have ability and desire to work independently
•    Ability to work with deadlines and challenging targets.
•    High level of written and verbal English communication skills.


About You  
•    Bachelor's degree in engineering or business management.
•    Preference for candidates with experience in Distribution channel.
•    2 - 4 years' relevant work experience in Business development or Sales
•    Good market understanding and technical background
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English mandatory).
•    Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
•    Strong organization and project management skills.
•    Excellent interpersonal skills. 
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
•    Proficient in CRM 

• Travel :2-3 days of the time, domestic and international travelling.
