Job Overview

The Industrial Business Unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Global Product Manager (GPM) for the Industrial Relays, Passives and Switches sub-vertical. The GPM will manage all aspects of our global New Energy Relays product line and is responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans to meet sales and gross (or standard) margin targets. The position will report to the Global PM lead for Relays, Passives, and Switches.
This position which ideally will be based in Shenzhen, China or Shanghai, China

Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development
•    Outlines a clear portfolio strategy for the assigned product family that positions to deliver strong financial results 
•    Creates breakthroughs (e.g., new market entry, new products, new business models, M&A, partnerships) through excellence in creating an ideas funnel, idea selection, prioritization, active experimentation, and scale-up of proven ideas
•    Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape
•    Expected to develop an in-depth understanding of major competitors in the key product markets. 
•    Develop product and technology roadmaps that aligns with business strategy and market needs
•    Design go to market strategy, inclusive of channel strategy and partnerships.
•    Work with R&D and operations in the development of new products to meet current and future customer and market requirements.
Develop Business Plan & Execution
•    Define resource requirements necessary to execute the product and technology roadmaps
•    Establish and execute pricing policy
•    Work effectively with the Regional Product Managers to drive execution of the product line strategies
•    Works effectively with Project Management and Engineering teams to launch NPIs ontime
•    Partners with the sales organization and drives empowerment that accelerates speed and responsiveness while jointly defining GTM strategies
•    Partners with the operations team to define the appropriated service models to win in the market
•    Establish and develop close relationships and intimacy with strategic suppliers, key customers and focus distributors for the assigned product family
Drives the full P&L
•    Manage the P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for the assigned product line
•    Deliver growth above market through strong NPI and share gain execution
•    Lead projects to drive competitive advantage for the assigned product line
•    Track progress to the business plan and facilitate resolution to gaps
Talent Management 
•    Work closely with the multi-cultural Regional PM’s and other GPM’s located worldwide
•    Creates / inspires a humble, learning and growth oriented, and continuous improvement mindset and culture in the organization
•    Communicates widely and at multiple levels in the organization.

Qualifications 
•    5+ years of product management or strategy or business development, ideally in Industrial markets
•    Working experience on Relays or Contactors is preferred.
•    Understanding of key end markets like EV Charging, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Solar Invertors and Electric Forklifts is preferred.
•    Proven track record in strategy development and meeting/exceeding performance
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent. MBA preferred.
•    Fluency in written and verbal communication in English and Chinese
